Turn the ignition switch to ON (II) or press the engine start/stop button to select the ON mode.

Check for DTCs with the HDS.

DTC B1081, B1082, B1083 and/or B1084 indicated?

     
YES
     
     
     
Do the indicated DTC's troubleshooting.?
     
NO
     
     
     
Go to step 2.
2.
Open wire check (H/L ON SW line) 1:

Open wire check (H/L ON SW line) 1
?1.
Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0) or press the engine start/stop button to select the OFF mode.

?2.
Disconnect the following connector.

?3.
Measure the voltage between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition
IG LOCK (0) or OFF mode
Combination light switch 12P connector: disconnected
Test circuit
H/L ON SW
Test point 1
Combination light switch 12P connector No. 7 (YEL)
Test point 2
Body ground


Is there battery voltage?

     
YES
     
     
     
Go to step 3.
     
NO
     
     
     
Go to step 4.

Open wire check (COMBI SW GND line):

Open wire check (COMBI SW GND line)

Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition
IG LOCK (0) or OFF mode
Combination light switch 12P connector: disconnected
Test circuit
COMBI SW GND
Test point 1
Combination light switch 12P connector No. 6 (BLK)
Test point 2
Body ground


Is there continuity?

     
YES
     
     
     
     
NO
     
     
     
Repair an open or high resistance in the wire.?

Open wire check (H/L ON SW line) 2:

Open wire check (H/L ON SW line) 2
?1.
Disconnect the following connector.

?2.
Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition
IG LOCK (0) or OFF mode
Combination light switch 12P connector: disconnected
Under-dash fuse/relay box connector N (20P): disconnected
Test circuit
H/L ON SW
Test point 1
Combination light switch 12P connector No. 7 (YEL)
Test point 2
Under-dash fuse/relay box connector N (20P) No. 19 (YEL)


Is there continuity?

     
YES
     
     
     
     
NO
     
     
     
Repair an open or high resistance in the wire.?
