EPS DTC Troubleshooting: 81-03, 85-01

DTC 81-03: Yaw Rate Sensor Malfunction
DTC 85-01: VSA System Malfunction

NOTE:

	Before you troubleshoot, record all freeze data and any on-board snapshot, and review the how to troubleshoot the EPS.
	If the VSA indicator is on, troubleshoot the VSA system first.

Problem verification:

Problem verification

?1.	Turn the ignition switch to ON (II), or press the engine start/stop button to select the ON mode.

?2.	Clear the DTC with the HDS.

?3.	Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0), or press the engine start/stop button to select the OFF mode, then start the engine.

?4.	Wait 30 seconds or more.

Check for DTCs with the HDS.

Is DTC 81-03 or 85-01 indicated?

Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time.?
