NOTE: If you are troubleshooting multiple DTCs, be sure to follow the instructions in B-CAN System Diagnosis Test Mode A.

1.
Problem verification:

Problem verification

Clear the DTCs with the HDS.


?2.
Turn the headlight switch ON.

?3.
Wait for 7 seconds.

?4.
Check for DTCs with the HDS.

Is DTC B1082 indicated?

     
YES
     
     
     
Go to step 2.
     
NO
     
     
     
Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time.?
2.
DTC check:

Check for DTCs with the HDS.

B1084 Right Side LED Headlight Circuit Malfunction
 

Is DTC B1082 and B1084 indicated?

     
YES
     
     
     
Go to step 3.
     
NO
     
     
     
Go to step 5
3.
Fuse check:

Fuse check
?1.
Check the following fuse.

No. A12-6 (30A)
Location
Under-hood fuse/relay box

Is fuse OK?

     
YES
     
     
     
Go to step 4.
     
NO
     
     
     
Replace the fuse. If the fuse blows again, repair the short to ground in the No. A12-6 (30A) fuse circuit.?

Headlight relay test:

Headlight relay test

Is headlight relay OK?

     
YES
     
     
     
Repair an open or high resistance in the wire.?
     
NO
     
     
     
Replace the headlight relay.?
5.
Fuse check:

Fuse check
?1.
Check the following fuse.
Fuse
No. A25 (10A)
Location
Under-hood fuse/relay box

Is fuse OK?

     
YES
     
     
     
Go to step 6.
     
NO
     
     
     
Replace the fuse. If the fuse blows again, repair the short to ground in the No. A25 (10A) fuse circuit.?

Determine possible failure area (L H/L LO line, H/L LO L SIG line):

Determine possible failure area (L H/L LO line, H/L LO L SIG line)
?1.
Disconnect the following connector.

?2.
Turn the headlight switch ON.

?3.
Measure the voltage between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition
IG LOCK (0) or OFF mode
Headlight switch ON
Left headlight 6P connector: disconnected
Test circuit
L H/L LO, GND
Test point 1
Left headlight 6P connector No. 1 (YEL)
Test point 2
Left headlight 6P connector No. 4 (BLK)


Is there battery voltage?

     
YES
     
     
     
Go to step 7.
     
NO
     
     
     
Go to step 9.
7.
Open wire check (H/L LO L SIG line):

Open wire check (H/L LO L SIG line)
?1.
Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0) or press the engine start/stop button to select the OFF mode.

?2.
Turn the headlight switch OFF.

?3.
Disconnect the following connector.

?4.
Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition
IG LOCK (0) or OFF mode
Headlight switch ON
Left headlight 6P connector: disconnected
Under-dash fuse/relay box P (24P) connector : disconnected
Test circuit
H/L LO L SIG
Test point 1
Under-dash fuse/relay box P (24P) No. 24 (LT GRN)
Test point 2
Left headlight 6P connector No. 5 (LT GRN)


Is there continuity?

     
YES
     
     
     
Go to step 8.
     
NO
     
     
     
Repair an open or high resistance in the wire.?
8.
Short wire check (H/L LO L SIG line):

Short wire check (H/L LO L SIG line)
?1.
Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0) or press the engine start/stop button to select the OFF mode.

?2.
Turn the headlight switch OFF.

?3.
Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition
IG LOCK (0) or OFF mode
Headlight switch ON
Left headlight 6P connector: disconnected
Under-dash fuse/relay box P (24P) connector : disconnected
Test circuit
H/L LO L SIG
Test point 1
Under-dash fuse/relay box P (24P) No. 24 (LT GRN)
Test point 2
Body ground


Is there continuity?

     
YES
     
     
     
Repair a shirt to ground in the wire.?
     
NO
     
     
     
Faulty LED control unit; replace the left headlight assembly.?
9.
Determine possible failure area (L H/L LO line, GND line):

Determine possible failure area (L H/L LO line, GND line)
?1.
Turn the headlight switch ON.

?2.
Measure the voltage between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition
IG LOCK (0) or OFF mode
Headlight switch ON
Left headlight 6P connector: disconnected
Test circuit
L H/L LO
Test point 1
Left headlight 6P connector No. 1 (YEL)
Test point 2
Body ground


Is there battery voltage?

     
YES
     
     
     
Repair an open or high resistance in the ground wire or poor ground (G301).?
     
NO
     
     
     
Repair an open or high resistance in the wire.?
