PCM defective
Shift cable broken or out of adjustment
Control pin broken
Transmission range switch defective or out of adjustment
Drive plate worn or damaged
Torque converter assembly defective
Torque converter ring gear worn or damaged
Transmission assembly and drive plate installation defective
Notes
Check for a stored DTC, and check for loose connectors.
Check for a loose shift cable at the shift lever and the transmission control lever.
Inspect the drive plate for wear and damage. If the drive plate is worn or damaged, replace it.
Inspect the torque converter assembly for wear and damage. If the torque converter assembly is worn or damaged, replace it as an assembly.
