NOTE:
This section explains the procedures after removal of all related parts. For the related parts' removal procedure, refer to the appropriate Service Manual.
The component replacement procedure described here is only for new Honda-supplied parts, as needed, according to the area and the degree of damage on the body.

Check the rear floor crossmember rear position for damage. If necessary, replace it.
Check the rear frame position for damage. If necessary, replace the rear floor frame complete. The rear portion of the rear frame cannot be sectioned.

The component replacement procedure described here is only for new Honda-supplied parts, as needed, according to the area and the degree of damage on the body.

Depending on the level of damage, the rear portion of the rear frame may be partially replaced at the location pictured below. Make sure to handle the related repair parts you are installing correctly.


NOTE:
Confirm the sheet thickness, tensile strength, and existence of the zinc treatment of both sides, and set the welder to conform to the welding conditions by referring to Roof and Side Panel Construction and Floor and Rear Body Construction.

1. Body Dimensions - Check

Positioning the replacement parts.
Clamp the new parts into position.

2. External Parts Fitting Positions - Check

Temporarily install the related parts, then check for differences in level and clearance. Check the external parts fitting positions. Make sure the body lines flow smoothly. Remove the clamped part.

3. Rear Floor Frame Complete - Install

Weld the rear floor frame complete (A).

( )*: Welding positions with high-strength steel (except 1500 MPa) parts. Confirm the plug welding conditions.

(?)*: Welding positions with the side sill reinforcement, the ultra high-strength steel (1500 MPa) part. Perform the spot welding on the conditions of No. 12, No. 13, No. 14 and No. 26 in the table shown below. Confirm the spot welding specifications.

4. Rear Floor Side Stiffener Front - Install

1.
Cut the middle floor crossmember (A) as shown, and pull up the rear edge of the middle floor crossmember.





2.
Weld the rear floor side stiffener front (A).

( )*: Welding positions with high-strength steel (except 1500 MPa) parts. Confirm the plug welding conditions.





3.
Weld the middle floor crossmember (A).

( )*: Welding positions with high-strength steel (except 1500 MPa) parts. Confirm the butt and plug welding conditions.

5. Rear Bulkhead Lower Gusset - Install

Weld the rear floor upper crossmember bulkhead (A), the rear bulkhead lower gusset rear (B), the rear bulkhead lower gusset front (C) and the child anchor side stiffener (D).

( )*: Welding positions with high-strength steel (except 1500 MPa) parts. Confirm the plug welding conditions.

6. Rear Floor Crossmember Lower Complete - Install


1.
Weld the rear floor crossmember lower complete (A).

7. Spare Tire Pan and Rear Floor Side Stiffener B - Install

1.
Weld the spare tire pan (A) and rear floor side stiffener B.

( )*: Welding positions with high-strength steel (except 1500 MPa) parts. Confirm the plug welding conditions.

8. Rear Bumper Beam Bracket - Install

1.
Weld the rear bumper beam bracket (A) and the lower rear bumper beam bracket (B) to the rear frame (C).
