Seat Heater Test

SRS components are located in this area. Review the SRS component locations and the precautions and procedures before doing repairs or service.

Driver's Seat

2. Driver's Seat Heater - Test
1.
Disconnect the connectors (A).
2.
Check for continuity between the terminals according to the table.
Driver's Seat Cushion Heater Connector
No. 1 (4P connector)
No. 2 (4P connector)
No. 1 (4P connector)
No. 1 (2P connector)
No. 2 (4P connector)
No. 2 (2P connector)
3.
If the continuity is not as specified, replace the driver's seat cushion heater.
4.
Check for continuity between the terminals according to the table.
Driver's Seat-Back Heater 2P Connector
No. 1
No. 2
5.
If the continuity is not as specified, replace the driver's seat-back heater.

3. All Removed Parts - Install
1.
Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.

Front Passenger's Seat

2. Front Passenger's Seat Heater - Test
1.
Disconnect the connectors (A).
2.
Check for continuity between the terminals according to the table.
Front Passenger's Seat Cushion Heater Connector
No. 1 (4P connector)
No. 2 (4P connector)
No. 1 (4P connector)
No. 1 (2P connector)
No. 2 (4P connector)
No. 2 (2P connector)
3.
If the continuity is not as specified, replace the front passenger's seat cushion heater.
4.
Check for continuity between the terminals according to the table.
Front Passenger's Seat-Back Heater 2P Connector
No. 1
No. 2
5.
If the continuity is not as specified, replace the front passenger's seat-back heater.

3. All Removed Parts - Install
1.
Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.

Rear Seat (With Rear Seat Heater)

1. Rear Seat Cushion - Remove


2. Seat Heater - Test
1.
Disconnect the left rear seat cushion heater connector B.
2.
Check for continuity between the terminals according to the table.
Left Rear Seat Cushion Heater Connector
No. 1 (6P connector)
No. 2 (6P connector)
No. 1 (6P connector)
No. 3 (6P connector)
No. 4 (6P connector)
No. 4 (4P connector)
No. 5 (6P connector)
No. 3 (4P connector)
No. 6 (6P connector)
No. 2 (4P connector)
3.
If the continuity is not as specified, replace the left rear seat cushion heater.
4.
Check for continuity between the terminals according to the table.
Right Rear Seat Cushion Heater 4P Connector
No. 2
No. 3
No. 2
No. 4
5.
If the continuity is not as specified, replace the right rear seat cushion heater.

3. All Removed Parts - Install
1.
Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.
