Description/Tool Number
Oil Pressure Gauge Attachment PT1/8 07510-MA70000
Oil Pressure Gauge 07506-3000001
If the low oil pressure indicator stays on with the engine running,
check the engine oil level
. If the oil level is correct, go to the next procedure.
1.
Oil Pressure Switch - Remove
2.
Oil Pressure Gauge - Install
1.
Install the oil pressure gauge attachment PT1/8 and the oil pressure gauge to the oil pressure switch mounting hole.
3.
A/C Compressor - Install
4.
Drive Belt - Install
5.
Engine Oil Pressure - Test
1.
Start the engine. Shut it off immediately if the gauge registers no oil pressure. Repair the problem before continuing.
NOTE: Be careful the oil pressure gauge not to contact with the rotating parts around them.
2.
Allow the engine to reach operating temperature (cooling fan comes on at least twice). The pressure should be:
Engine Oil Temperature:
176 °F (80 °C)
Engine Oil Pressure:
At Idle:
90 kPa (0.92 kgf/cm
2
, 13.1 psi) min.
At 3,000 rpm:
280 kPa (2.86 kgf/cm
2
, 40.7 psi) min.
3.
If the oil pressure is not within specifications, inspect these items:
Oil filter blocked or plugged.
Oil strainer blocked or plugged.
Inspect the oil pump relief valve.
4.
Remove the oil pressure gauge attachment PT1/8 and the oil pressure gauge.
6.
All Removed Parts - Install
1.
Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.
