Engine Oil Pan Removal and Installation

NOTE:
Do not disconnect the suction hose and the discharge hose.
Do not bend the suction hose and the discharge hose excessively.
Hang the A/C compressor with a wire tie.

11. Torque Converter Cover/Clutch Cover - Remove

Remove the torque converter cover (CVT) or the clutch cover (M/T) (A) and the transmission mounting bolts (B).

14. Intermediate Shaft Mounting Bolt - Remove


15. Oil Pan - Remove

Remove the oil pan mounting bolts.





2.
Using a flat blade screwdriver, separate the oil pan from the engine block in the places shown.

Remove the oil pan.

Apply liquid gasket to the engine block and the cam chain case mating surface of the oil pan, and to the inside edge of the threaded bolt holes.

Install the oil pan (A) with new O-rings (B).

Tighten the oil pan mounting bolts in three steps. In the final step, torque all bolts, in sequence, to the specified torque. Wipe off the excess liquid gasket on the each side of crankshaft pulley and drive plate or flywheel.

Specified Torque:
12 N·m (1.2 kgf·m, 9 lbf·ft)

5. Torque Converter Cover/Clutch Cover - Install

Install the torque converter cover (CVT) or the clutch cover (M/T) (A) and the transmission mounting bolts (B).

6. Oil Return Hose - Connect
