Turn the combination light switch OFF.

Do the combination light switch test.

Is the switch OK?

     
YES
     
     
     
Go to step 3.
     
NO

Shorted wire check (H/L ON SW line):

Shorted wire check (H/L ON SW line)
?1.
Disconnect the following connectors.
Body control module connector C (28P)
Automatic lighting/rain sensor 5P connector

?2.
Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition
Vehicle OFF (LOCK) mode
Combination light switch 12P connector: disconnected
Body control module connector C (28P): disconnected
Automatic lighting/rain sensor 5P connector: disconnected
Test point 1
Combination light switch 12P connector No. 7
Test point 2
Body ground


Is there continuity?

     
YES
     
     
     
Repair a short to ground in the wire.?
     
NO
     
     
     
The H/L ON SW wire is OK. Replace the body control module.?

Do the headlight low beam relay test.

Is the headlight low beam relay OK?

     
YES
     
     
     
Go to step 5.
     
NO
     
     
     
Replace the headlight low beam relay.?

Shorted wire check (H/L LO RLY CL? line):

Shorted wire check (H/L LO RLY CL? line)

Disconnect the following connector.
Body control module connector B (36P)

?2.
Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition
Vehicle OFF (LOCK) mode
Headlight low beam relay: disconnected
Body control module connector B (36P): disconnected
Test point 1
Body control module connector B (36P) No. 24
Test point 2
Body ground

Is there continuity?

     
YES
     
     
     
Repair a short to ground in the wire.?
     
NO
     
     
     
Repair a short to power in the wire.?
