NOTE: If you are troubleshooting multiple DTCs, be sure to follow the instructions in B-CAN System Diagnosis Test Mode A.

Problem verification:

Clear the DTCs with the HDS.

Operate the driver's door lock knob switch several times.

?3.
Check for DTCs with the HDS.

Is DTC B1129 indicated?

     
YES
     
     
     
Go to step 2.
     
NO
     
     
     
Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time.?
2.
Determine possible failure area (DR SILCON UNLOCK, DR SILCON LOCK lines):

Determine possible failure area (DR SILCON UNLOCK, DR SILCON LOCK lines)

With the driver's door lock knob switch in the lock position, check the parameter(s) below with the HDS.

Is the DRIVER'S DOOR LOCK KNOB SWITCH (UNLOCK) information indicator ON?

     
YES
     
     
     
Go to step 5.
     
NO
     
     
     
Go to step 3.
3.
Shorted wire check (DR SILCON LOCK line):

Shorted wire check (DR SILCON LOCK line)
?1.
Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.

?2.
Disconnect the following connectors.
Driver's door latch 10P connector
Power window master switch 37P connector

?3.
Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition
Vehicle OFF (LOCK) mode
Driver's door latch 10P connector: disconnected
Power window master switch 37P connector: disconnected
Test point 1
Test point 2
Body ground

Is there continuity?

     
YES
     
     
     
Repair a short to ground in the wire.?
     
NO
     
     
     
The DR SILCON LOCK wire is not shorted to ground. Go to step 4.
4.
Shorted wire check (DR SILCON UNLOCK line to DR SILCON LOCK line):

Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition
Vehicle OFF (LOCK) mode
Driver's door latch 10P connector: disconnected
Power window master switch 37P connector: disconnected
Test point 1
Test point 2

Is there continuity?

     
YES
     
     
     
Repair a short in DR SILCON UNLOCK wire to DR SILCON LOCK wire.?
     
NO
     
     
     
Faulty driver's door lock knob switch; replace the driver's door latch.?
5.
Shorted wire check (DR SILCON UNLOCK line):

Shorted wire check (DR SILCON UNLOCK line)
?1.
Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.

?2.
Disconnect the following connectors.
Driver's door latch 10P connector
Power window master switch 37P connector

?3.
Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition
Vehicle OFF (LOCK) mode
Driver's door latch 10P connector: disconnected
Power window master switch 37P connector: disconnected
Test point 1
Test point 2
Body ground

Is there continuity?

     
YES
     
     
     
Repair a short to ground in the wire.?
     
NO
     
     
     
The DR SILCON UNLOCK wire is not shorted to ground. Go to step 6.
6.
Shorted wire check (DR SILCON UNLOCK line to DR SILCON LOCK line):

Shorted wire check (DR SILCON UNLOCK line to DR SILCON LOCK line)

Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition
Vehicle OFF (LOCK) mode
Driver's door latch 10P connector: disconnected
Power window master switch 37P connector: disconnected
Test point 1
Test point 2

Is there continuity?

     
YES
     
     
     
Repair a short in DR SILCON UNLOCK wire to DR SILCON LOCK wire.?
     
NO
     
     
     
Faulty driver's door lock knob switch; replace the driver's door latch.?
