YES
     
     
     
Go to step 2.
     
NO
     
     
     
2.
Determine possible failure area (VSA OFF SW line, GND line):

Determine possible failure area (VSA OFF SW line, GND line)

Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.

Measure the voltage between test points 1 and 2.

VSA OFF switch 4P connector*1: disconnected
VSA OFF switch 5P connector*2: disconnected
 
VSA OFF switch 8P connector*3: disconnected
Test point 1
VSA OFF switch 4P connector (female terminals) No. 4*1:

VSA OFF switch 8P connector (female terminals) No. 8*3 :
Test point 2
Body ground

*1: VSA OFF switch 4P connector type
*2: VSA OFF switch 5P connector type
*3: VSA OFF switch 8P connector type

Is there battery voltage?

     
YES
     
     
     
Repair an open in the wire between the VSA OFF switch and body ground (G501).?
     
NO
     
     
     
Go to step 3.

Shorted wire check (VSA OFF SW line):

Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.

Disconnect the following connector.
Gauge control module A (32P) connector

?3.
Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition
Vehicle OFF (LOCK) mode
VSA OFF switch 4P connector*1: disconnected
VSA OFF switch 5P connector*2: disconnected
VSA OFF switch 8P connector*3: disconnected
Gauge control module A (32P) connector: disconnected
Test point 1
VSA OFF switch 4P connector (female terminals) No. 4*1:
VSA OFF switch 5P connector (female terminals) No. 1*2 :
 
VSA OFF switch 8P connector (female terminals) No. 8*3 :
Test point 2
Body ground

*1: VSA OFF switch 4P connector type

The VSA OFF SW wire is not shorted. Go to step 4.
     
NO
     
     
     
Repair a short to body ground in the wire between the gauge control module and the VSA OFF switch.?
