Front Damper/Spring Removal and Installation

Vehicle - Lift
2.
Front Wheel - Remove
3.
Stabilizer Link - Disconnect
1.
Disconnect the stabilizer link from the damper
.
4.
Damper/Spring Items - Remove
1.
Remove the brake hose mounting bolt (A).
2.
Remove the wheel speed sensor wire guide rubber (B) and the clip (C).
5.
Maintenance Lid - Remove
6.
Damper/Spring - Remove
1.
Remove the damper pinch bolts (A) and the flange nuts (B).
NOTE:
Do not allow the knuckle to rotate too far outward. This may allow the driveshaft inboard joint to come apart.
Use the new damper pinch bolts and the new flange nuts during reassembly.

Remove the damper cap (A).
3.
Hold the damper shaft (B) using a hex wrench (C), and loosen the damper mounting nut (D).
4.
Remove the damper mounting nut (A), the spring washer (B), and the damper mounting base (C).
5.
Remove the damper/spring (A) and the damper rubber mount (B).
NOTE: Be careful not to damage the body.
7.
All Removed Parts - Install
1.
Install the front damper/spring in the reverse order of removal.
8.
Wheel Alignment - Check
