Roof Antenna Removal and Installation

SRS components are located in this area. Review the SRS component locations and the precautions and procedures before doing repairs or service.

Front Installation Type

2. Roof Antenna - Remove
1.
Remove the roof antenna mast (A).
2.
Loosen the nut (B), and remove the antenna sublead (C).
3.
Remove the roof antenna (D) while pressing the tabs (E).

3. All Removed Parts - Install
1.
Install the roof antenna in the reverse order of removal.

Rear Installation Type (Without XM)

2. Roof Antenna - Remove
1.
Remove the harness clips (A).
2.
Remove the bolt (B) and the capture washer(C).
NOTE:
When removing the capture washer, replacing with a new one is recommended.
If reusing the capture washer, do the shower test to confirm that there is no water leakage.
3.
Remove the roof antenna (D) while pressing the tabs (E).
4.
Remove the roof antenna element(F).

3. All Removed Parts - Install
1.
Install the roof antenna in the reverse order of removal.

Rear Installation Type (With XM)

2. Roof Antenna - Remove
1.
Remove the harness clips (A).
2.
Remove the bolt (B).
3.
Remove the roof antenna (C).
4.
Remove the roof antenna element(D).

3. All Removed Parts - Install
1.
Install the roof antenna in the reverse order of removal.
