Rear Wheel Cylinder Removal and Installation

Do not spill brake fluid on the vehicle; it may damage the paint. If brake fluid does contact the paint, wash it off immediately with water.

NOTE: After removal, plug the ends of the hoses and the joints to prevent spilling brake fluid.

5. Rear Wheel Cylinder - Remove

Disconnect the brake line (A) from the wheel cylinder (B).

Remove the wheel cylinder from the backing plate.

1. Rear Wheel Cylinder - Install

Apply Cemedienne 366E sealant or equivalent between the wheel cylinder (A) and the backing plate (B).

2.
Install the wheel cylinder with the special bolts.

3.
Connect the brake line (C) to the wheel cylinder.


NOTE: Check for leaks at hose and line joints or connections, and retighten if necessary. Test-drive the vehicle, then check for leaks.

7. Brake Drag - Check

Spin the wheels to check for brake drag.
