Clear the DTC with the HDS.

The failure is duplicated. Go to step 2.
     
NO
     
     
     
Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Check for poor connections or loose terminals at clutch pedal position switch B/D and the PCM, and check the installation of clutch pedal position switch B/D. If the freeze data/on-board snapshot of this DTC is recorded, try to reproduce the failure under the same conditions with the freeze data/on-board snapshot.?

Clutch pedal position switch B installation check:

Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.

?2.
Check clutch pedal position switch B/D.

Is it damaged or loose?

     
YES
     
     
     
     
NO
     
     
     
Go to step 3.

Determine possible failure area (clutch pedal position switch B, others)

Determine possible failure area (clutch pedal position switch B, others)
?1.
Disconnect the following connector.
Clutch pedal position switch B/D 6P connector

?2.
Connect terminals A and B with a jumper wire.
Terminal A
Clutch pedal position switch B/D 6P connector No. 4
Terminal B
Clutch pedal position switch B/D 6P connector No. 6


?3.
Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.

?4.
Check the parameter(s) below with the HDS.

4.
Open wire check (GND line)

Open wire check (GND line)
?1.
Remove the jumper wire from the clutch pedal position switch B/D 6P connector.

?2.
Connect terminals A and B with a jumper wire.

Terminal B
Body ground


?3.
Check the parameter(s) below with the HDS.

NO
     
     
     
Repair an open in the GND wire between clutch pedal position switch B/D and G302.?

Open wire check (CLUTCH SW(CRUISE) line)

Open wire check (CLUTCH SW(CRUISE) line)
?1.
Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.

?2.
Jump the SCS line with the HDS.


?3.
Disconnect the following connector.
PCM connector A (51P)

?4.
Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition
Vehicle OFF (LOCK) mode
 
Clutch pedal position switch B/D 6P connector: disconnected
 
PCM connector A (51P): disconnected
 
Clutch pedal position switch B/D 6P connector No. 6: jumped to body ground
Test point 1
Test point 2
Body ground

Is there continuity?

     
YES
     
     
     
The CLUTCH SW(CRUISE) wire is OK. Update the PCM if it does not have the latest software, or substitute a known-good PCM, then recheck. If DTC P0835 goes away and the PCM was updated, troubleshooting is complete. If DTC P0835 goes away and the PCM was substituted, replace the original PCM.?

Repair an open in the CLUTCH SW(CRUISE) wire between clutch pedal position switch B/D and PCM (A50).?
