DTC P0883-14: Clutch ON/OFF Signal Circuit Error
NOTE:
If the DTC is recorded again after problem verification, perform a troubleshooting for the PGM-FI system.
If DTC U0029-00 is stored at the same time as DTC P0833-14, troubleshoot DTC U0029-00 first, then recheck for DTC P0833-14.
The functions of the integrated driver support system that will be temporarily canceled when this DTC is recorded can be confirmed with the DTC troubleshooting index.

Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.

Check the parameter(s) below with the HDS while pressing the clutch pedal.

Does the parameter indication change when the clutch is first pressed and then released?

     
YES
     
     
     
Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Clear the DTC with the HDS. Refer to intermittent failures troubleshooting. If the freeze data/on-board snapshot of this DTC is recorded, try to reproduce the failure under the same conditions with the freeze data/on-board snapshot.?
     
NO
     
     
     
Go to step 2.

Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.

Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.

?4.
Check the parameter(s) below with the HDS while pressing the clutch pedal.

The system is OK at this time; the clutch pedal position switch B malfunction.
     
NO
     
     
     
Go to step 3.

Clutch pedal position switch B internal circuit check:

Clutch pedal position switch B internal circuit check
?1.
Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.

?2.
Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition
Vehicle OFF (LOCK) mode
Test point 1
Clutch pedal position switch B/D 6P connector (female terminals) No. 6:
Test point 2
Clutch pedal position switch B/D 6P connector (female terminals) No. 4:


Does the parameter indication change to continuity or no continuity when the clutch is first pressed and then released?

     
YES
     
     
     
Go to step 4.
     
NO
     
     
     
4.
Open wire check (CLUTCH SW (CRUISE) line):

Open wire check (CLUTCH SW (CRUISE) line)
?1.
Disconnect the following connector.
Clutch pedal position switch B/D 6P connector

?2.
Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.

?3.
Measure the voltage between test points 1 and 2.

Vehicle ON mode
 
Clutch pedal position switch B/D 6P connector: disconnected
Test point 1
Clutch pedal position switch B/D 6P connector (female terminals) No. 6:
Test point 2
Body ground


Is there battery voltage?

     
YES
     
     
     
CLUTCH SW (CRUISE) wire is OK. Go to step 5.
     
NO
     
     
     
Repair an open in the CLUTCH SW (CRUISE) wire between the PCM and clutch pedal position switch B.?

Open wire check (GND line):

Open wire check (GND line)
?1.
Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.

?2.
Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition
Vehicle OFF (LOCK) mode
 
Clutch pedal position switch B/D 6P connector: disconnected
Test point 1
Clutch pedal position switch B/D 6P connector (female terminals) No. 4:
Test point 2
Body ground


Is there continuity?

     
YES
     
     
     
Clear the DTC with the HDS. If the DTC is recorded again, replace the multipurpose camera unit.?
     
NO
     
     
     
Repair an open in the GND wire between clutch pedal position switch B and ground (G302), or repair poor ground (G302).?
