Turn the vehicle to the ON mode. |
?2. |
Clear the DTCs with the HDS.

?3. |
Press the engine start/stop switch at least 20 times, then wait for at least 20 seconds. |
?4. |
Check for DTCs with the HDS.

|
Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Check for loose or poor connections.? |

Determine possible failure area (+B SMART line, GND line, or other):
Determine possible failure area (+B SMART line, GND line or other)

Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode. |
?2. |
Disconnect the following connector.
Engine start/stop switch 12P connector | |

?3. |
Measure the voltage between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition |

Is there battery voltage?

|
The +B SMART and GND wires are OK. Go to step 3. |
|
|
|
|

Shorted wire check (SS1(+), SS2(-) lines):

Disconnect the following connector.
Keyless access control unit connector B (36P) | |

Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2 individually.
Test condition |

Is there continuity?

|
Repair short to ground in the wire.? |
|
|
|
The SS1(+) and SS2(-) wires are not shorted. Go to step 4. |

Open wire check (SS1(+), SS2(-) lines):

Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2 respectively.
