Steering Angle Sensor Removal and Installation

SRS components are located in this area. Review the SRS component locations, and the precautions and procedures before doing repairs or service.

1. Steering Wheel - Remove

Remove the steering wheel.

2. Column Cover - Remove

Remove the column cover.

3. Cable Reel/Steering Angle Sensor - Remove

Disconnect cable reel connector A, cable reel connector B, and the steering angle sensor connector (C).
2.
Remove the cable reel/steering angle sensor (A).

4. Steering Angle Sensor - Remove
Remove the steering angle sensor (A) from the cable reel (B).

1. Steering Angle Sensor - Install
Position the two tabs (A) of the steering angle sensor (B) as shown. Install the steering angle sensor to the cable reel (C).


2. Cable Reel/Steering Angle Sensor - Install

Install the cable reel/steering angle sensor (A).

Connect cable reel connector A, cable reel connector B, and the steering angle sensor connector (C).

3. Column Cover - Install

Install the column cover.

4. Steering Wheel - Install

Install the steering wheel.

5. VSA Sensor Neutral Position - Memorize

Do the VSA sensor neutral position memorization.

6. Steering Angle Sensor Neutral Position - Clear

Do the steering angle sensor neutral position clear.

7. TPMS - Calibration

Do the TPMS calibration.
