Dashboard Removal and Installation

SRS components are located in this area. Review the SRS component locations, 2-door, 4-door and the precautions and procedures before doing repairs or service.

1. Battery Terminal - Disconnect

Do the battery terminal disconnection procedure.

2. Both A-Pillar Trims - Remove

Remove both A-pillar trims.

3. Both Side Defogger Vent Trims - Remove

Remove both side defogger vent trims.

4. Gauge Control Module - Remove

Remove the gauge control module.

5. Multi-Information Display Unit - Remove

Remove the multi-Information display unit.

6. GPS Antenna - Remove (With Navigation)

Remove the GPS antenna.

7. Sunlight Sensor - Remove

Remove the sunlight sensor.

8. Dashboard Center Lower Cover - Remove

Remove the dashboard center lower cover.

9. Steering Column - Remove

Remove the steering column.

10. Front Passenger's Airbag Inflator Connector - Disconnect

If the front passenger's airbag has deployed, disconnect the front passenger's airbag connector, and remove the bolts securing the front passenger's airbag.

11. Front Passenger's Airbag - Remove

If the front passenger's airbag has not deployed, remove the front passenger's airbag.

12. Dashboard - Remove

From the center area, remove the harness clip (A).
2.
Remove the dashboard (A).

1. Dashboard - Install

Install the dashboard (A).
2.
Install the harness clip to the center area (A).

2. Front Passenger's Airbag - Install

If the front passenger's airbag has not deployed, install the front passenger's airbag.

3. Front Passenger's Airbag Inflator Connector - Connect

If the front passenger's airbag has deployed, connect the front passenger's airbag connector, and install the bolts securing the front passenger's airbag.

4. Steering Column - Install

Install the steering column.

5. Dashboard Center Lower Cover - Install

Install the dashboard center lower cover.

6. Sunlight Sensor - Install

Install the sunlight sensor.

7. GPS Antenna - Install (With Navigation)

Install the GPS antenna.

8. Multi-Information Display Unit - Install

Install the multi-Information display unit.

9. Gauge Control Module - Install

Install the gauge control module.

10. Both Side Defogger Vent Trims - Install

Install both side defogger vent trims.

11. Both A-Pillar Trims - Install

Install both A-pillar trims.

12. Battery Terminal - Connect

Do the battery terminal reconnection procedure.
