ATF Filter Removal and Installation

NOTE: The ATF filter is not a scheduled maintenance item. Replace the filter only if it is leaking, or contaminated, or when the transmission is being overhauled or replaced with a remanufactured unit.

1. Battery - Remove

Do the battery removal procedure.

2. Air Cleaner - Remove

Remove the air cleaner.

3. Battery Base - Remove

Remove the battery base.

4. ATF Filter - Remove

Disconnect the ATF hoses (A).

Remove the ATF filter holder (B) and the ATF filter (C).

1. ATF Filter - Install
1.
Install the ATF filter (A) and the ATF filter holder (B).
2.
Connect the ATF hoses (C).


2. Battery Base - Install

Install the battery base.

3. Air Cleaner - Install

Install the air cleaner.
