Multipurpose Camera Unit Removal and Installation
1. Sensor Cover - Remove

NOTE: When removing the sensor cover, take care not to rip the sensor cover base.

Insert the screwdriver between the cover (A) and the cover base (B), then remove the cover.

2. Multipurpose Camera Unit - Remove


NOTE:
The multipurpose camera unit performs writing to EEPROM after turning the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode. Wait for about three seconds and then disconnect the connector.
Do not touch the lens part of the multipurpose camera unit directly.

Disconnect the connector (A).

2.
Remove the multipurpose camera unit (B).

3. Cover Base - Remove


NOTE:
If necessary, replace the cover base (A).
When replacing the cover base, follow the installation procedure.
The brackets (B) are not sold as separately.


2.
Remove the cover base.

3.
Scrape off the adhesive from the windshield.

1. Cover Base - Install


1.
Clean the windshield surface.

2.
Peel the adhesive backing on the cover base (A), then apply the primer.

NOTE: Must use the primer 3M-made G200 or equivalent. Using other commercially available primers may prevent the cover base from attaching properly.






3.
Align the cover base (A) with the alignment marks (B), then install the cover base.

NOTE: Do not attach the primer to the areas (C).


2. Multipurpose Camera Unit - Install


NOTE:
Do not touch the lens part of the multipurpose camera unit directly.

1.
Install the multipurpose camera unit (A).

2.
Reconnect the connector (B).

3. Sensor Cover - Install

Install the cover (A).
