DTC B0052-2B: Short to Another Wire Harness in the Front Passenger's Seat Belt Buckle Switch

1.
Problem verification:

Problem verification
?1.
Clear the DTCs with the HDS.


?2.
Turn the vehicle to the ON mode, then wait for 10 seconds. Buckle and unbuckle the front passenger's seat belt several times.

?3.
Check for DTCs with the HDS.

B0052-2B Short to another wire harness in the front passenger's seat belt buckle switch
 

Is DTC B0052-11 or B0052-2B indicated?

     
YES
     
     
     
The failure is duplicated. Go to step 2.
     
NO
     
     
     
Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Go to Troubleshooting Intermittent Failures. If another DTC is indicated, troubleshoot the DTC.?
2.
Front passenger's seat belt buckle switch check:

Front passenger's seat belt buckle switch check
?1.
Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.

?2.
Disconnect the front passenger's seat belt buckle switch 2P connector (A) on the right side wire harness (without passenger's power seat) or the front passenger's seat wire harness (with passenger's power seat).


?3.
Clear the DTCs with the HDS.


?4.
Turn the vehicle to the ON mode, then wait for 10 seconds.

?5.
Check for DTCs with the HDS.

B0052-2B Short to another wire harness in the front passenger's seat belt buckle switch
 

Is DTC B0052-11 or B0052-2B indicated?

     
YES
     
     
     
Short to ground in the front passenger's seat wire harness or the right side wire harness; replace the faulty harness, then clear the DTC.?
     
NO
     
     
     
Faulty front passenger's seat belt buckle switch; replace the front passenger's seat belt buckle assembly, then clear the DTC.?
