4. Tailgate Middle Spoiler - Remove
1.
Remove the nut (A).
2.
Disconnect the connector (B).
3.
Remove the tailgate middle spoiler (A).
4.
Remove the grommet (B).

5. Tailgate Middle Spoiler Seal - Remove


6. All Removed Parts - Install
1.
Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.
NOTE:
Clean the spoiler surfaces where the seals are applied with a shop towel dampened with isopropyl alcohol. After cleaning, keep oil, grease, and water from getting on the surface.
Except Seal C: If you are reusing the original seals, apply adhesive primer to the areas where the new double-sided adhesive tape will be applied, and then attach the new double-sided adhesive tapes to the seals as shown.

Thickness 0.6 mm (0.024 in)

Thickness 0.6 mm (0.024 in)

Adhesive tape requirements (C):
Inner diameter 21 mm (0.83 in)
 
Outer diameter 41 mm (1.61 in)
Adhesive tape requirements (D):
Thickness 0.6 mm (0.024 in)
 
Width 5 mm (0.20 in)
 
Length 49.7 mm (1.957 in)
Adhesive tape requirements (Left Lip or Right Lip):
Thickness 0.4 mm (0.016 in)
