Carefully remove the fuel rail with the injectors straight from the cylinder head.
NOTE:
If the injector remains on the cylinder head, carefully remove the injector straight from the cylinder head.
If you replace the cylinder head, use a new injector clip (A).

Injector - Remove
NOTE: When you need not to replace the injectors, take note for the cylinder number of the injectors and take note for their positions before removing the injectors.
1.
Using the pick up tool, carefully remove the seal (A) from the injector.

Do not wipe off the tip area (A) of the injector as it may be damaged.
If the tip of the injector is dirty or clogged, it must be replaced. The injectors cannot be cleaned.
1.
Use compressed air to ensure that there are no dust or debris around the ring (B).
2.
With a paper towel, carefully wipe off any carbon from the area (C) shown.
3.
Set the seal guide of the injector seal sizing tool over the tip of the injector (A) as shown.
4.
Slide the seal (A) on the seal guide of the injector seal sizing tool as shown.
5.
Quickly push the seal down to the groove (A) of the injector.
6.
Remove the seal guide of the injector seal sizing tool from the injector.
7.
Set the seal to the bottom side of the groove (A) as shown.
8.
Slide the sizing tool of the injector seal sizing tool onto the seal (A) until tools touch to the injector stepped surface (B) with turning 180°, then hold the tools to reform the seal for 1 second or more.
NOTE: When sliding the sizing tool of the injector seal sizing tool, be careful not to damage the top of the injector (C).

Remove the sizing tool of the injector seal sizing tool in reverse rotation of the installation, and check that the seal is installed correctly.
NOTE: The injector seal sizing tool has the sizing tool and the seal guide, and when cleaning them, be careful not to scratch the sizing tool bore or the surface of the seal guide.
10.
Install the back-up ring (A) and the O-ring (B) on the injector (C).
NOTE:
Set the direction of the back-up ring as shown.
Check that the back-up ring sets correctly after installation.
11.
Install the injector onto the fuel rail (D) with the clip (E).
NOTE: When installing the injector, be sure to protect the injector from dust or debris.

Fuel Rail and Injector - Install
NOTE: When you need not to replace the injectors, make sure that the cylinder number of the injectors and the positions of the cylinder number are correct.
1.
Carefully install the fuel rails with the injectors into the cylinder head straight and equal.
NOTE: When installing the injector, protect tip of the injector from dust or debris.
2.
Install the nuts, and tighten them slowly in an alternate pattern until the fuel rail sits on the cylinder head.
3.
Tighten the nuts and the bolts to the specified torque.
