HVAC Unit Disassembly and Reassembly
1. Blower Unit Component - Remove


1.
Remove the lid (A), then pull out the dust and pollen filter (B).

2.
Remove the blower motor (C).

3.
Without climate control: Remove the blower resistor subharness (D).

4.
Remove the blower resistor (without climate control) or the power transistor (with climate control) (E).

5.
With climate control: Remove the recirculation control motor (F).

2. A/C Wire Harness - Remove (With Climate Control)


1.
Disconnect the connector (A).

2.
Remove the A/C wire harness (B).

3. Passenger's heater duct, Air Mix Control Motor (With Climate Control), and Mode Control Motor (With Climate Control) - Remove


1.
Remove the passenger's heater duct (A).

2.
With climate control: Remove the air mix control motor (B).

3.
With climate control: Remove the mode control motor (C).

4. Evaporator Core - Remove (With A/C)


1.
Remove the heater unit case (A).

2.
Remove the heater unit case D.

3.
Remove the evaporator core (B) and the plate (C).

4.
Remove the evaporator temperature sensor (E) and the clip (F).

5. Driver's Heater Duct, Heater Core, and Heater Core Cover - Remove


1.
Remove the driver's heater duct (A).

2.
Remove the heater core cover (B).

3.
Remove the heater pipe bracket (C).

4.
Remove the grommet (D).

5.
Carefully pull out the heater core (E).

6. All Removed Parts - Install

1.
Install the parts in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:

Make sure that there is no air leakage.
Make sure that there is no refrigerant leakage.
