DTC P2583-54: Millimeter Wave Radar Aiming Incomplete
NOTE:
Before you troubleshoot, review the general troubleshooting information.
If the millimeter wave radar is removed or replaced, you must aim it, otherwise DTC P2583-54 is stored even if the system is OK.

Millimeter wave radar check (aiming):

Millimeter wave radar check (aiming)

Aim the millimeter wave radar.

Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.

?3.
Clear the DTC with the HDS.


?4.
Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode, then the ON mode.

?5.
Check for DTCs with the HDS.

Is DTC P2583-54 indicated?

     
YES
     
     
     
Specifically, it is a failure in the millimeter wave radar if an aiming failure does not occur and horizontal radar aiming is not completed. Replace the millimeter wave radar.?
     
NO
     
     
     
Troubleshooting is complete. If any other DTCs are indicated, go to the indicated DTC's troubleshooting.?
