Refer to the DTC code shown on the display, and then inspect the connectors and terminals based on the instructions in the table below.
These DTC(s) may be stored due to the power/ground circuit failure of the appropriate transmitting control unit. Before this troubleshooting, check the power/ground circuit of the appropriate transmitting control unit first.

Is DTC U0029-00, U0047-00 and/or U3000-49 indicated?
The F-CAN B_H and the F-CAN B_L wires are OK. Check for loose terminals and poor connections at CAN gateway and EPS control unit connector. Check for any authorized service information related to the DTCs or symptoms you are troubleshooting. If they are OK, substitute a known-good EPS motor/control unit, then retest. If the indicators come on then go off after substitution, replace the original EPS motor/control unit.?

Repair an open in the F-CAN B_H and/or the F-CAN B_L wire between CAN gateway and EPS control unit.?

Open wire check (F-CAN A_H, F-CAN A_L lines):

Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.

Jump the SCS line with the HDS, and wait more than 1 minute.

Disconnect the following connectors.
CAN gateway 16P connector
PCM connector A (51P)

Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2.

If the symptom/indication goes away with a known-good PCM, replace the original PCM.?
