1.
Problem verification:

Problem verification
?1.
Clear the DTCs with the HDS.


?2.
Turn the vehicle to the ON mode, then wait for 10 seconds. Buckle and unbuckle the driver's seat belt several times.

?3.
Check for DTCs with the HDS.

Is DTC B0050-13 indicated?

     
YES
     
     
     
The failure is duplicated. Go to step 2.
     
NO
     
     
     
Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Go to Troubleshooting Intermittent Failures. If another DTC is indicated, troubleshoot the DTC.?

Driver's seat belt buckle switch check:

Driver's seat belt buckle switch check
?1.
Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.

?2.
Disconnect the driver's seat belt buckle switch 2P connector (A) on the right side wire harness.


?3.
Connect terminals A and B with a jumper wire.
Terminal A
Driver's seat belt buckle switch 2P connector No. 1 (on the right side wire harness)
Terminal B
Driver's seat belt buckle switch 2P connector No. 2 (on the right side wire harness)


?4.
Turn the vehicle to the ON mode, then wait for 10 seconds.

?5.
Check for DTCs with the HDS.

B0050-11 Short or decreased resistance in the driver's seat belt buckle switch
 

Is DTC B0050-11 indicated?

     
YES
     
     
     
Open in the driver's seat belt buckle switch; replace the driver's seat belt buckle assembly, then clear the DTC.?
     
NO
     
     
     
Go to step 3.
3.
Open wire check (FLBC line):

Open wire check (FLBC line)
?1.
Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.

?2.
Disconnect the negative cable from the 12 volt battery, then wait at least 3 minutes.

?3.
Remove the jumper wire from the driver's seat belt buckle switch 2P connector on the right side wire harness.

?4.
Disconnect the following connector.
SRS unit connector B (39P)

?5.
Measure the resistance between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition
Vehicle OFF (LOCK) mode
Driver's seat belt buckle switch 2P connector (on the right side wire harness): disconnected
SRS unit connector B (39P): disconnected
Test point 1
Driver's seat belt buckle switch 2P connector No. 1 (on the right side wire harness)
Test point 2


Is there 1.0 ? or less?

     
YES
     
     
     
The FLBC wire is OK. Go to step 4.
     
NO
     
     
     
Open in the right side wire harness; replace the right side wire harness, then clear the DTC.?
4.
Open wire check (GND line):

Open wire check (GND line)
?1.
Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.

?2.
Measure the resistance between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition
Vehicle OFF (LOCK) mode
Driver's seat belt buckle switch 2P connector (on the right side wire harness): disconnected
SRS unit connector B (39P): disconnected
Test point 1
Driver's seat belt buckle switch 2P connector No. 2 (on the right side wire harness)
Test point 2
Body ground


Is there 1.0 ? or less?

     
YES
     
     
     
The GND wire is OK. SRS unit or poor connection at SRS unit connector B (39P) and the SRS unit. Check the connection; if the connection is OK, replace the SRS unit. If the DTC does not clear, replace the right side wire harness.?
     
NO
     
     
     
Open in the right side wire harness; check for a poor ground at G651. If the ground is OK, replace the right side wire harness, then clear the DTC.?
