Driver's airbag second inflator 2P connector (on the cable reel harness)
NOTE: Make sure to work with the driver's airbag second inflator 2P connector (A) that has a guide tab (B) on the left side of the No. 1 terminal as shown.

Connect terminals A and B with a jumper wire.
Terminal A
Driver's airbag second inflator 2P connector No. 1 (on the cable reel harness)
Terminal B
Driver's airbag second inflator 2P connector No. 2 (on the cable reel harness)

Reconnect the negative cable to the 12 volt battery.
?7.
Clear the DTCs with the HDS.
?8.
Turn the vehicle to the ON mode, then wait for 10 seconds.
?9.
Check for DTCs with the HDS.

B0002-13 Open or increased resistance in the driver's airbag second inflator
Disconnect cable reel connector B (4P) on the dashboard wire harness.

Connect the terminals of SRS simulator lead J to the SRS inflator simulator (2 ? connectors), then connect SRS simulator lead J to cable reel connector B (4P) on the dashboard wire harness.
?7.
Reconnect the negative cable to the 12 volt battery.
?8.
Clear the DTCs with the HDS.
?9.
Turn the vehicle to the ON mode, then wait for 10 seconds.
?10.
Check for DTCs with the HDS.

B0002-13 Open or increased resistance in the driver's airbag second inflator
Disconnect the negative cable from the 12 volt battery, then wait at least 3 minutes.

Disconnect the following connector.
SRS unit connector A (39P)
?4.
Disconnect the SRS inflator simulator from SRS simulator lead J. Do not disconnect SRS simulator lead J from cable reel connector B (4P) on the dashboard wire harness.

Measure the resistance of the test point.
Test condition
Vehicle OFF (LOCK) mode
Driver's airbag second inflator 2P connector (on the cable reel harness): disconnected
Cable reel connector B (4P) (on the dashboard wire harness): disconnected
SRS unit connector A (39P): disconnected
Cable reel connector B (4P) (on the dashboard wire harness): connected to SRS simulator lead J
Test point
SRS simulator lead J red terminal
Is there 1.0 ? or less?
YES
The LA2? and LA2?wires are OK. Faulty SRS unit or poor connection at SRS unit connector A (39P) and the SRS unit. Check the connection; if the connection is OK, check for any authorized service information related to the DTCs or symptoms you are troubleshooting or replace the SRS unit. If the DTC does not clear, replace the dashboard wire harness.?

Open in the dashboard wire harness; replace the dashboard wire harness, then clear the DTC.?
