DTC P2583-64: Millimeter Wave Radar Aiming Error
NOTE:
This DTC is stored when unsuccessfully completed millimeter wave radar aiming has caused a misaligned radio wave axis and the millimeter wave radar has sent a problem detected while the vehicle is running to the multipurpose camera unit.

When DTC P2583-64 is stored, the DTCs in the HDS cannot be cleared. These DTCs can be cleared when millimeter wave radar aiming is completed correctly.

If DTC P2583-64 is output even after millimeter wave radar aiming is completed successfully, the millimeter wave radar is suspected of being faulty. Replace the millimeter wave radar.

Problem verification:

Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.

Clear the DTC with the HDS.


?3.
Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.

?4.
Test-drive the vehicle on a straight road at speeds 25 mph (40 km/h) or more for 5 minutes with the ACC activated.
NOTE: Drive the vehicle on the road, not on a lift.

?5.
Check for DTCs with the HDS.

The failure is duplicated. Go to step 2.
     
NO
     
     
     
Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Refer to intermittent failures troubleshooting. If the freeze data/on-board snapshot of this DTC is recorded, try to reproduce the failure under the same conditions with the freeze data/on-board snapshot.?

Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.

Check the installation of the millimeter wave radar assembly.

Is the installation OK?

     
YES
     
     
     
Go to step 3.
     
NO
     
     
     
Reinstall or replace a parts that has a problem, then go to step 3.

Check for loose terminals and poor connections in the millimeter wave radar 10P connector. If they are OK, replace the millimeter wave radar.?
     
NO
     
     
     
Troubleshooting is complete. If any other DTCs are indicated, go to the indicated DTC's troubleshooting.?
