Engine Removal and Installation

Use fender covers to avoid damaging painted surfaces. | |
|
|
To avoid damaging the wiring and terminals, unplug the wiring connectors carefully while holding the connector portion. | |
|
|
Mark all wiring and hoses to avoid misconnection. Also, be sure that they do not contact other wiring or hoses, or interfere with other parts. | |

12 Volt Battery Set Patch - Remove |

Engine Wire Harness - Remove |
|
NOTE: Hold the steering wheel with the steering wheel holder tool. | |

Transmission Fluid - Drain |

EVAP Canister Purge Hose, Vacuum Hose, and Water Bypass Hose - Disconnect |

Fuel Feed Hose - Disconnect |
27. |
Heater Hose - Disconnect |

Lower Radiator Pipe - Remove |

|
Do not disconnect the suction hose and the discharge hose. | |
|
|
Do not bend the suction hose and the discharge hose excessively. | |
|
|
Hang the A/C compressor with a wire tie. | | |

Lower Arm Mounting Bolt - Remove |

Front Subframe - Support |

Chain Hoist - Install |

Transmission Mount Bracket Mounting Bolt and Nut - Remove |

Torque Rod Bracket - Install |

Transmission Mount Bracket Mounting Bolt and Nut - Loosely Install |

Front Subframe - Support |

Lower Arm Mounting Bolt - Install |

Torque Rod Mounting Bolt - Loosely Install |

Lower Radiator Pipe - Install |

Heater Hose - Connect |
26. |
Fuel Feed Hose - Connect |
27. |
EVAP Canister Purge Hose, Vacuum Hose, and Water Bypass Hose - Connect |

Engine Wire Harness - Install |

Transmission Fluid - Refill |

Transmission Gear - Check |
